Gutters only collect the water; leaders (downspouts) are responsible for moving it safely away:

1. 1Upsize to 3x4-inch Leaders: Standard 2x3-inch downspouts clog quickly with leaves. Upsizing to 3x4-inch increases flow capacity by over 100%.
2. 2Foundation Diverters: Water must never discharge directly at the building base. We install buried PVC conduits routing runoff to drywells or pop-up emitters in the yard.

When upgrading exterior boundaries with custom horizontal cedar or composite fencing, drainage must be considered.

We evaluate property grading, install frost-line footings at 42 inches below grade, and leave proper clearance beneath horizontal bottom rails so storm runoff drains freely into drywells and swales.
